Why ‘Lord Have Mercy’ Is Such a Powerful Prayer, I will praise your name with my whole heart and I

will show the world how miraculous you are. I will sing praises to your name o most

High because you rebuked me for not. When I was suffering you came to my rescue.

You had mercy on me when I was weak. I was lost but found myself. You delivered my soul from the grip of sin. You made me

You gave me a high sounding voice where I can’t speak. Instead of the used garment,

you replaced it with sparkling ones. The bible says in Psalm 136: O give thanks unto

the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God

of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his

mercy endureth for ever. To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy

endureth for ever. To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth

for ever. To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy

endureth for ever. him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever:The

sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth for ever: The moon and stars to rule by

that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the

children of men! Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and

praise him in the assembly of the elders. He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the

watersprings into dry ground; A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of

them that dwell therein. He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry

ground into watersprings. And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may

prepare a city for habitation; And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may

yield fruits of increase. He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly;

and suffereth not their cattle to decrease. Again, they are minished and brought low

through oppression, affliction, and sorrow. He poureth contempt upon princes, and

causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way. Yet setteth he the

poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock. The righteous

shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth. Whoso is wise, and will
