Rebuke The Devourers For My Sake

Spread the love

Rebuke the devourers for my sake: anyone kind to the poor lends to the Lord and He will reward them

for their kindness, we all want the blessings of God but not all of us are working to get the

blessings of the Lord. Many believe that once they have

given their tithe and offering they have given,

which is normal but it doesn’t end there, God loves a heart that gives and he bless them a lot,

when i say blessing i don’t mean the figure in your account, God blesses them differently.

Someone that is passing through a problem and the person runs to you for assistance if you give him

little of what you have, God is pleased with that kind of heart and blesses it, the kind of blessings that flow

to the children’s children. Someone that’s ill but doesn’t have that ability to treat him/herself and

you know that you can be of help and you help that person, things like these moves God to open doors of blessings,

it doesn’t need to be a person you know before you help. If you contribute to the work of the Lord

it may be little but it counts, all these please God to open doors of abundant blessings when you have

enough material things like clothes, shoe e.t.c and you know that someone else doesn’t have if you help

that person God will be moved by that. If you help orphans with the little you can and help them

to have a better future God will be pleased, you can put a smile on the faces of widows,

rebuke devourers for my sake, the Lord will rebuke devourers for your sake, givers never lack

when you do it wholeheartedly God is always pleased by that, when you sow seed in someone life

don’t expect the person to pay you back but surely that blessings will come back in multiple folds,

don’t say you have no reason to help a person with complete hands and legs,

helping others leads to blessings in different ways.

Let look at the story of Elisha and the Rich Woman from Shunem: Elisha often goes

to Shunem and there’s a wealthy woman that always invite him for a meal when he’s there,

the woman called her husband and told him that “i am sure that this man who comes here

so often is holy, let’s build a small room on the roof, and flourish it so he can stay there whenever

he visits us which they did. One day Elisha went to Shunem with Gehazi and she gave them the room,

Elisha asks her if there’s anything they can do for her, she said that there nothing but she doesn’t

have a child, Elisha told her that by this time next year you will have a son, she had her doubt but it came to pass.

After some years in harvest time her son went to meet his dad on the farm but all of a sudden

the boy screamed that his head hurts, his father told one of the servants to take him to his mum,

the boy slept on his mother’s lap and in the evening he died. The woman went to Elisha and told him

and explained everything to him, he told Gehazi to take his stick and put it over the child but he didn’t wake up,

Gehazi told Elisha and he went there he saw the boy lying dead on the bed and he locked himself and

he prayed to God then he lay down on the boy, placing his mouth, eyes, and hands on the boy’s mouth,

eyes, and hands, as he stretched out over the boy his body started to get warm and he walked over the room

and stretched over the boy again, the boy sneezed seven times and then opened his eyes.

Elisha called the woman and he showed her, her son and

she fell at Elisha’s feet and she took her son

and went in 2 Kings 4:8-37: And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a

great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by,

he turned in thither to eat bread. And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that

this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually. Let us make a little chamber, I pray

thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, a table,a stool, and a candlestick:

and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither. it fell on a day, that he

came thither, and he turned into the chamber, and lay there. And he said to Gehazi his servant,

Call this Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him. And he said unto him,

Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for

thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered,

I dwell among mine own people. And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi

answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old. And he said, Call her. And when he

had called her, she stood in the door. And he said, About this season, according to the time of

life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto

thine handmaid. And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said

unto her, according to the time of life. And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he

went out to his father to the reapers. And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he

said to a lad, Carry him to his mother. And when he had taken him, and brought him to his

mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died. And she went up, and laid him on the bed

of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out.And she called unto her husband,

and said, Send me, I pray thee, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may run to

the man of God, and come again. And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither

new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well. Then she saddled an ass, and said to her

servant, Drive, and go forward; slack not thy riding for me, except I bid thee. So she went and

came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw

her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite: Run now, I

pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it

well with the child? And she answered, It is well: And when she came to the man of God to the

hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God

said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the Lord hath hid it from me, and hath

not told me. Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me?

Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thine hand, and go thy way: if

thou meet any man, salute him not; and if any salute thee, answer him not again: and lay my

staff upon the face of the child. And the mother of the child said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy

soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And he arose, and followed her. And Gehazi passed on before

them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing.

Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked. And when

Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed. He went in

therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the Lord. And he went up, and

lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his

hands upon his hands: and stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed

warm. Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself

upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes. And he called

Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she was come in unto him,

he said, Take up thy son. Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the

ground, and took up her son, and went out (KJV).

Look at the little help that woman did to Elisha but she reaped out of it,

yes the child died but she has sowed a seed in the Prophet life,

and because of that God revived the child, God bless the heart that gives and share and God will

showers his blessings and he will also rebuke devourers for their sake, rebuke devourers for my sake.

Let me share with you a real-life story

There’s an old woman with her children she loves to help others one day a lady was on a journey and

the address is where the old woman is, the lady was holding a five-year-old child and they are asking

for directions but someone brought her to the old woman, the old woman asked who is she looking for,

she replied and said she’s looking for her brother but since morning she couldn’t find the location,

the woman hospitalized her and told her that her brother name sounds familiar but for now she

should rest because she has been trekking all day and she looks tired. She slept at the old woman’s house

Overnight, when the day breaks the old woman’s children helped her to find her brother

in the neighbourhood where they found him, when they found him he appreciated the woman and

thanked her a lot. After some time one of the old woman children went for a source in another state

but she doesn’t know anyone there, where she lodges she ran out of cash to pay so they threw her

out and when they threw her out she saw a sister and asked her for help she explained her situation to her,

the lady took her to her family house and accommodated her out of humanity and she felt

like she was living with her own family, they accommodated her till she finished her source,

she felt so relaxed and comfortable living with them. What her mother did then became a blessing to her,

it’s a blessing to help and give to others, it always comes back in multiple folds but it isn’t good to help

when it isn’t from the heart and most importantly as Jesus said But when thou doest alms,

let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth. When you give you should see it

that you give to the Lord, someone that sowed his seed and almost empty what he has,

that person should expect that when the blessing is coming, it will come abundantly and

God will open heaven to that kind of person so that kind of seed sowing it’s important to do it

wholeheartedly and surely God will rebuke devourers for your sake. If you do something because of God,

God will always reward you because he sees your heart that you did it because of him and he will surely

rebuke devourers for your sake. Some will say that they won’t help anyone again because a person

betrayed their trust the Bible says in Romans 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good (KJV).

Jesus said in Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down,

and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.

For with the same measure that ye mete withal, it shall be measured to you again (KJV).

And he also said in Matthew 6:3-4 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know

what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself

shall reward thee openly (KJV). And he said in Matthew 10:42 And whosoever shall give to drink

unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple,

verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward (KJV).

The Bible said in Hebrews 13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such

sacrifices God is well pleased (KJV).Oh Lord rebuke devourers for my sake.

I pray into your life these prayers.

1. The Lord shall manifest his power in your life and transform your finances, in the Jesus mighty name.

2. The gate of your financial blessings and joy shall be opened in Jesus name.

3. Anything standing against your financial breakthrough shall be destroyed in Jesus mighty name.

4. Heaven over your finances shall be opened in Jesus mighty name.

5. God will continue to shower his blessings upon you in Jesus mighty name Amen.
