Making Pleasing God Your Goal In Life, Not Pleasing Men: only the ones that have God
has peace of mind because when you live the life that please God only then you will live
a peaceful life. There is an old man that use to beg when he start to beg there is one word he
always says, he always says that Adam caused all these, any time someone passes by he will
say Adam caused all these and when people hear what he say they help him, a wealthy man
usually passes by and all the time he passes by he always see the man saying the same word
over and over again he says “Adam caused it”, one day the man couldn’t resist, he went to him
and took him to his luxurious mansion, immediately the man entered the house he started
wondering if it is a home or a paradise and immediately the servant took him to the washroom
and he took his bath, they changed his dress and took him to a his room and the man told him
that all what he need is in the house no need to go out for anything and the old man
transformed into a better person after everything the wealthy man went to meet the old man and
told him that he is a tourist he doesn’t stay at home and he is leaving soon but the servent will
take care of him the old man said that he will be lonely so the man decided to get him married
because he isn’t too old, and he married him to a beautiful woman, but the man make a request,
he told them that they can enter any room in the mansion but there is one room they mustn’t
enter, when the man was finally about to leave he told them that they mustn’t enter the room
Again and immediately they replied, so the man left, they were living a comfortable and luxurious life,
after some month the wife called her husband and told him that haven’t they not been fooled
how can a man that have this mansion with everything inside asked them not to enter a
particular room, maybe the room is the source of his riches and he doesn’t want them to know
so that they won’t be rich like him, she tried to convince her husband to enter the room but man
said “no” because the wealthy man gave them all what they have, they need nothing more, she
kept on bothering him about it until the man opened the door and immediately they opened the
door they met themselves where the man used to beg, he was wearing the same dress; he used
to wear holding the same sick, immediately the wealthy man appeared to him saying, you are
saying Adam caused all this, what Adam did he has done the same, despite you have been
pleased with everything around you just to please me by not opening a room you can’t do that
and kept on saying Adam has done all this, but what Adam did you have also done the same.
that is what always happens when we can’t please God, it’s only through God we can have
everlasting rest because all what God said we shouldn’t do is for our own good. the Bible said in Genesis 2:16-17:
And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest
freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in
the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die (KJV). when Adam disobeyed God
immediately they found themselves naked the way the old man found himself in the position he
used to beg because despite the way God made Adam comfortable and give him dominion over
everything in the garden of Eden but Adam still find it difficult to please God that it when
everything begin because of not being able to please God that is when we humans
has given Satan chance over our life, the Bible said in Genesis 3:16-19 Unto the woman he said,
will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth
children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee, And unto
Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten
of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is
the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns
also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out
of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return (KJV).
see what become of them because of they couldn’t please God and the same thing is also
happening to us because we are from the generation of Adam that is way we need to live a life
that’s pleasing to God and not man, when God said we shouldn’t lie, steal, serve any other god
expect him, we shouldn’t commit fornication, adultery, gambling, or murder e.t.c. We shouldn’t
do it, is all for own good because if we please God and we flee from the things he said we
shouldn’t do we will able to live a fulfilled life, Enoch pleased God and by that he lived a long and
fulfilled life, a life with rest and he didn’t experience death God took him.
The Bible says in Genesis 5:21-24 (KJV). that is the kind of life of people that please God experienced,
we should live a God-fearing life, a life that’s pleasing to God not man,
no matter how far we are from him it won’t take a second to come back to God,
he doesn’t want us to perish, he loves us and care for us, what do we gain by not please God?
Yes we may have everything here on earth, living a comfortable and extravagant life but
remember that life we have isn’t ours one day we came to this word and we will return
where do we think we are going back to? It depends on how we please God on earth
That is what will determine where we will return to,
making pleasing god your goal in life, not pleasing men is important in everyone life;
live to fear and obey him only when we please him, we will be free from all evil, and we live a
Pfulfilled life because pleasing God not man, is the only to have a fulfilled life,
The Bible says in Proverbs 16:7 When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his
enemies to be at peace with him (KJV). and in 1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask,
we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that
are pleasing in his sight (KJV). We need to live a life pleasing to the Lord, by obeying
His word, for example: When children obey their parents, they also please the Lord,
by following the commandments of God, you’ll please Him because
Making Pleasing God Your Goal In Life, Not Pleasing Men is very important
what are the commandment of God? The commandment of God are:
1. I am the Lord thy God! Thou shalt have no other Gods but me!
2. Thou shalt not take the Name of the Lord thy God in vain!
3. Thou shalt keep the Sabbath Day holy!
4. Thou shalt honour father and mother!
5. Thou shalt not kill!
6. Thou shalt not commit adultery!
7. Thou shalt not steal!
8. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour!
9. Do not let thyself lust after thy neighbour’s wife!
10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, nor his farm, nor his cattle, nor anything that is his! and many more. By obeying each one of these, you’re pleasing the Lord.
Let’s see the story of Enoch:
Enoch pleased the Lord and the Lord was pleased with Him that He didn’t let Enoch
experience death, Enoch walked faithfully with God,” in (Genesis 5:22, KJV).
Making Pleasing God Your Goal In Life, Not Pleasing Men:
and repeated in (Genesis 5:24, KJV) he was so special to God, in those
wicked times before the Flood, most people did not walk faithfully with God.
They walked their own path, the crooked way of sin. Enoch did not keep silent
about the sin around him. Jude says Enoch prophesied about those evil people in
(Jude 1:14-15 KJV). Enoch’s life-span was 365 years In (Genesis 5:23, KJV). Throughou
those years, he walked in faith, and that made all the difference, No matter what happened,
he trusted God, he obeyed God, God loved Enoch so much, he spared him the experience of death.
In (Hebrews 11, KJV). That great Faith Hall of Fame passage says
“Enoch’s faith pleased God: For before he was taken, he was commended as one who
pleased God” in (Hebrews 11:5-6, KJV). When you love God a lot, He’ll always be there for you,
look at what happened to Enoch, because he pleased the Lord and loves Him a lot, God didn’t
allow Him to experience death. Let’s live a life that pleases the Lord, we should live a life that’s
pleasing to God and not man, you shouldn’t say because of a person you want to please and
disobey the Lord. The Bible says in Galatians 1:10: For do I now persuade men, or God?
or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ(KJV). Also in 2
Corinthians 5:9:Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him(KJV).
The bible says in 1 Thessalonians 2:4: But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the
gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts(KJV). It safer
to please God than to please man, because having hopes in man is vanity, those who depend on
man always end up in vanity, it’s better to put please God and depend on Him than to please
man. Making Pleasing God Your Goal In Life, Not Pleasing Men:
The bible says in Galatians 4: Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth
nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the
time appointed of the father. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the
elements of the world: But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son,
made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might
receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his
Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant,
but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. Howbeit then,
when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn
ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Ye
observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon
you labour in vain. Brethren, I beseech you, be as I am; for I am as ye are: ye have not injured
me at all. Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first.
And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an
angel of God, even as Christ Jesus. Where is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I bear you
record, that, if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given
them to me. Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? They zealously
affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them. But it is good
to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you. My
little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, I desire to be
present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you.
Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? For it is written,
that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by
promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the
mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. For this Agar is mount Sinai in
Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. But
Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. For it is written, Rejoice, thou
barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many
more children than she which hath an husband. Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the
children of promise. But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born
after the Spirit, even so it is now. Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the
bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the
free woman. So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free (KJV).
Let us check our life in whichever way we didn’t please God in our life we should amend it and
flee from sins, making pleasing God your goal in life, not pleasing men is really important.
