What Did Jesus Christ Mean When He Said “Abide in Me”?: Everyone wants God to be with them,
but only a few are with God, if you abide in the Lord, he will abide in you because, without Him,
you cannot do anything that’s why you need Him, more than He needs you. When you abide in
the Lord, you need to be like him, and when you’re like
Him, your wish shall be done, take a look at David, David was with God and God was with David,
God was not just with David, David was with God first, and the way God was with David, He was
also with all of David’s generation, and God isn’t a man that would lie. The Lord said in 1 Kings 8:16:
Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes
of Israel to build an house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my
people Israel (KJV). What Did Jesus Christ Mean When He Said “Abide in Me”?
For God to choose David, David has chosen God first, that’s why David is called a man after God’s heart,
for God to abide in you, you need to abide in God first, and for you to abide in Him, you need to know Him,
His likes and dislikes until then will he be able to abide in you. Jesus said in John 14:23:Jesus answered and said
unto him, If a man loves me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him,
and make our abode with him (KJV). The bible says in 1 John 2:24:Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have
heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall
continue in the Son, and in the Father(KJV). What Did Jesus Christ Mean When He Said “Abide in Me”?
Let’s take a look at the life we live now: people who know God aren’t
much, the fact that you’re calling Him God and you know that He’s your creator, doesn’t mean that you]
know Him, many don’t know God, and until you know Him, you’ll be able to know what’s
His likes and what’s His dislikes. When you know Him, you’ll abide in Him and He’ll abide in you, those who are
with God receives unusual, miraculous things always happen to them. The bible says in 1 John 3:6:Whosoever
abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him (KJV). Explanation giving:
Let me share with you a true-life story:
there was a man, all through his life he really loved and abide in God, and God abides in Him when this man grew old and
passed away, many years have passed that he had died, where he was buried has been developed and the government
wants to expand the road. As the workers were trying to smoothen up the road, they accidentally dug out the body
of the man, the body was as fresh as he was buried, it was just like he was asleep, despite all those years that have
passed by, he’s still as fresh as before. those who knew the man’s family contacted his great-grandchildren to come
and rebury him, everyone was surprised, it’s incredible. Jesus said in the book of John 14:17:Even the Spirit of truth;
whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth
with you, and shall be in you (KJV). What Did Jesus Christ Mean When He Said “Abide in Me”?
This is amazing, if this can happen to the man after he’s dead, it means
that he abides in God while alive and God also abide in him when someone finds God, the person will have
a good life here and life after, but it’s too risky if you don’t abide in God, because that type of person is far from God
and when someone is far from God all evil deeds are feasible, because that person will have no contact with God,
the person has given chance to the devil, in their mind, they don’t know God and the works of their hands are pure evil
The bible says in Hebrews 13:5:Let your conversation be without covetousness, and be content with such things as
ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee (KJV). Jesus said in the book of John 15:10: If ye
keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in
his love (KJV). Jesus also says in John 15:6:If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch,
and is withered; and men gather them and cast them into the fire, and they are burned (KJV).
What Did Jesus Christ Mean When He Said “Abide in Me”?: Hear what Jesus said, it’s very
dangerous not to abide in God, yes, the person might have it all, wealth, power, high
position, and many more, if a person has all this but not abided in God, is like a giant in the presence of a child,
this is dangerous. The world we are living in now is evil, we all need God to survive it, after finishing the
journey of this life, to reach the right destination, we need God. Do you see now that you need to abide
in God because you need Him, more than He needs you? Illustration giving: Your matter won’t be like a
woman who went to the market and bought everything she needs to cook and brought it home and when it
reached cooking the meal, she remembered that she doesn’t have a pot. obedience is better than sacrifice.
As I said earlier, you need to know Him to know what He likes and dislikes, but unfortunately,
the ones who know Him have misled those who don’t know Him, by them doing what can provoke God.
Definitely, if the ones that know Him is provoking Him nevertheless those who don’t know Him
if you know that you aren’t doing what’s right in the presence of God, the hour to change is now,
abide in Him and He will abide in you, flee from sins for he will never forsake you because delay is dangerous
and when you walk with God and God work with you, He will be with you and never leave you, Just the way
He was with David, Abraham, Moses, Isaac, Jacob, Samuel, King Hezekiah, Gideon, Joseph, the Israelites,
and you and I that He gave His only son to die for us in the cross of Calvary, and many more. God loves us
and He never departed from us, we are the ones that departed from Him by allowing satan to mislead us
from God through sin but God didn’t go anywhere, He’s waiting for us to come back to Him,
to abide in Him and the power to abide in God and the power overcome sin, satan and his agent shall
overwhelm you in Jesus mighty name Amen. If you know that your connection with God isn’t straight,
kindly pray this prayer below: Thank You, Jesus, for rising from the dead to give me life (John 14:6).
Come into my heart by Your Holy Spirit to lead and live in me. Thank You Father that right now,
I am born again (John 3:3), as a fresh, new child of God (2 Corinthians 5:17), forever set free by Your truth.
Once you have prayed this prayer believe that God has forgiven you of your sins and don’t go back to them
again come closer to God, old things have passed away now you’re a new creation and new things
have come, believe that God has forgiven you for your sins He’s a merciful God and He doesn’t
have the plan for anyone to perish. Forget the evil on your mind and live a righteous life,
a life that’ll inspire others. I pray into your life that you’ll make the right decision at the right time in Jesus mighty name Amen.
